I thought I had read all the Sherlock Holmes books, so was delighted to find one that I hadn't. Great book and was free to download. What I love about Sherlock Holmes is that the stories are short so if you have a few spare minutes during the day you can usually get through one or two and having them on the Kindle makes this all the easier. The plots are always believable and the endings not always as you would expect them to be. Very entertaining.

Just the thing for a gentle read. It helps inform that the modernisation of The Sherlock Holmes series (as in 'Sherlock' on TV) was not where it should be perhaps. Conan Doyle does an excellent job in painting a picture of a chap who is infuriating with few social graces very but the reader is left in no doubt why Watson remains such an admirer of his.

The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes was a fascinating read with more interesting adventures for me to discover. I am enjoying reading the short story collections of Sherlock Holmes, as the shorter length of the stories means I can easily keep the thread of the mystery and fully enjoy all the twists and turns. This edition also has nice illustrations.
